Aboot is Canadian talk for about. I am originally from Toronto and have resided in Los Angeles over twelve years. I have been creating art since my mother put a burnt sienna crayon in my hand at the age of two but not before double blade ice skates were strapped to my boots. Being the youngest of five children certainly had it's benefits in developing a wry sense of humor and ambition to be better than my siblings. Actually it was more of a "do or die" situation when left alone with no parental control. Now, with three children of my own, that same drive and ambition serves me well when I paint with the same determination and humor that I developed as a kid. Although a fierce defender of anything Canadian, including Smarties candy (who knew they were British), hockey teams, and why the hat is actually called a 'toque'. I live happily with my family in Los Angeles. Through the use of bright colors and a playful style, I attempt to create compelling and eye-popping compositions. Did I mention I was in advertising? In non-ad lingo what I mean is, I like bright colors and I don't draw noses.
